Custom wall art for a local friend. What a pretty home for this piece... it is really satisfying to see where our art work ends up!

Nature, texture, and color inspire us both. We love to incorporate these elements in our work by combining carving, stamping, raku fire, mosaic, and a bit of whimsy to create beautiful things.

We are Romy Kissel and Clare Backer Bies and we happily come each day to our studio, a 100 year old grainery, in our mid-western hometown of Jasper, Indiana.
